  2. This directory contains some files for the use of MirrorManager with
  3. ToolsDaemon by Nico François.
  4.  
  5.           ALL THIS IS STILL BETA!  THERE IS NO INSTALLER SCRIPT YET!
  6.                    ** INSTALLATION HAS TO BE DONE BY HAND **
  7.

  9. To install a MirrorManager menu for ToolsDaemon you have to do the following:
  10.  
  11. (1) Edit the file SetupMenu.cvt in order to adjust the path and filenames 
  12.     there.  You might want to copy them from the rexx/MirrorManager.rexx
  13.     configuration script if you already set it up via rexx/Configure.
  14.  
  15. (2) Run cvt in order to configure the ToolsDaemon.menu file:
  16.  
  17.       cvt -f SetupMenu.cvt -o %s.out ToolsDaemon.menu
  18.  
  19.     This will create a file `ToolsDaemon.menu.out' which has to be included
  20.     into your `S:ToolsDaemon.menu'.  It is wise to use a text editor to do
  21.     this...  (:

  23. (3) Load the ToolsPrefs program and verify your settings.
  24.     You might need to save the settings again from within ToolsPrefs to make
  25.     the changes come into effect.

  28. WARNING!
  29.  
  30. Versions of ToolsDaemon <= 2.1a have a very small limitation in the number of
  31. characters per command which might lead to a parser problem in ToolsDaemon.
  32. One possibility for a workaround could be the use of assignments in order to
  33. shorten the pathnames -- however, this might be not what you want...
  34.  
  35. I've already mailed Nico and told him about this problem.  Let's all hope that
  36. he will fix it as soon as possible!  (:
